My name is Connie Veneracion (yes, there’s a longer version). Welcome to Life in the Sierra Madre (it turns out that our house isn’t just on a hill but on a hilly portion of the Sierra Madre mountain range).
All the home and garden posts in my main blog were scheduled to be trashed. I felt that they were all outdated and readers go to my blog for the recipes and cooking tips anyway, so, what was the point in keeping them?
Our house went through an extensive renovation. There were problems, it was frustrating on so many levels and I didn’t think I was going to be happy with the results. It took almost a year of work. We’re not quite done yet, but, guess what?
Here we are, quite comfortable in our new setup, and I found myself inspired enough to actually think about home and garden things again. And with thinking goes writing. And there was an itch to create this blog.
So, is this just a repository of old posts? No, I’ve already started writing new ones. And I intend to write more. What can I say? I love writing.
And just what is the focus of this blog that sets it apart from other home and garden blogs?
GOING NATURAL. It’s just one of many sections of this blog but that’s what I want to focus on.
And, quite recently, SURVIVING QUARANTINE which documents what life is like in the midst of COVID-19.
So, again, welcome to our home where we laugh and dream (and fight and scream) and make plans for the future.
