All the home and garden posts in my main blog were scheduled to be trashed. I felt that they were all outdated and readers go to my blog for the recipes and cooking tips anyway, so, what was the point in keeping them?
Our house went through an extensive renovation. There were problems, it was frustrating on so many levels and I didn’t think I was going to be happy with the results. It took almost a year of work. We’re not quite done yet, but, guess what?
Here we are, quite comfortable in our new setup, and I found myself inspired enough to actually think about home and garden things again. And with thinking goes writing. And there was an itch to create this blog.
I’m not keeping all the old home and garden posts though — only the ones that remain useful and the ones that are too hard to let go of, the ones that still make me smile, because there’s so much of our family life in them.
So, is this just a repository of old posts?
No, I’ve already started writing new ones. And I intend to write more.
What can I say? I love writing.
My name is Connie Veneracion. Welcome to the house on a hill where we laugh and dream (and fight and scream) and make plans for the future.
